Spiritual Laws of Success – Aligning With Pure Potentiality

The following post is a follow-up on my recent set of articles regarding spiritual laws, and in particular the spiritual laws of success. In this piece I address one of the most important, primary spiritual principle: Pure Potentiality.
Pure potentiality, also called uncertainty, is the principle of unlimited possibility and absolute unpredictability. While long-held western paradigms might interpret this as a negative connotation, in fact the law of pure potential is the path to a fresh, exciting, and fulfilling life.
Because each new moment is unlimited potential, it’s impossible to expect the worst-case scenario with genuine accuracy. There is no need to be bound by past failures and patterns of frustration because the future can be turned into any number of positive experiences.
Humans tend to recreate the same experiences over and over because their minds are trapped in the realm of ego. Relying heavily on memory, when we look into a possible future we often see a replay of some past event.
It’s easy to find evidence of this sad truth. Battered women tend to seek out men who will beat them. The destitute apply only for low-paying jobs. An alcoholic is forever trapped in the pattern of destruction that has defined the past ten years of his or her life. Minor details may vary slightly, but most people continuously create the same basic reality day in and day out.
Obviously the examples above are particularly negative. But even beyond such extreme drama, the majority of individuals are trapped in the realm of what they believe is possible; this often manifests when someone sets “realistic” goals or has “reasonable” expectations.
But the law of pure potentiality tells us we can release the illusion of limitation at any time. In other words, the real flow of life is not bound by any past events. It is only through improper thinking, neurosis, and negative expectation that reality is confined to the same dull model.
How Can You Experience The Excitement Of Pure Potentiality?
By simply allowing our awareness to rest in each moment as it occurs, we begin to understand the true nature of life is emergent, or spontaneously creative. This present now is brand new, and holds unlimited power and possibility.
Practice letting the moment pass before you and watch it without trying to hold onto the thoughts and feelings of previous moments. Let your thoughts and senses work freely; don’t interact with your thoughts and don’t use internal dialogue to describe what you are seeing and hearing. This simple exercise will teach you a great deal about uncertainty. As you will discover, your thought patterns and emotional processes arise, float briefly, and then subside.
We all react predictably to particular stimuli, like a food we claim not to like or a person we say annoys us. But if you honestly let go of your need to perform and just become a silent observer of the moment you’ll be surprised to find the feelings that should arise to support much of your familiar conduct will simply be absent. When you release thinking and experience the moment it’s entirely possible that you will enjoy things you previously believed you disliked; tastes, odors, sounds, and various other experiences you have disliked for years may suddenly become pleasant to you.
Observing the natural world is another great way to validate the principle of uncertainty. As the cosmos unfolds outward from the big bang planets and galaxies are formed not in a geometrically restricted manner, but in a serendipitous collage.
Individual organisms adapt and change over the course of time, and life forms placed into new ecosystems will evolve dramatically to cope with their brand new environment. In similar fashion, think of how you might literally become a new person in many ways if you moved overnight to a new part of the world and assumed a job in a completely different industry.
In quantum mechanics, researchers can measure the position of a particle or the velocity of a wave. They can never determine both position and velocity at the same time, and which trait they intend to measure actually determines whether they observe a particle or a wave in their test chamber. Prior to being detected by the scientists, neither a particle nor a wave is present; only the probability for either exists in the field of pure potential.
Uncertainty is perhaps the most fundamental trait of existence. The best way to align with and benefit from the spiritual law of pure potentiality is simply to accept that you cannot see all available possibilities. You are able to conceptualize only a tiny fraction of the events and circumstances that may become a part of your life experience.
Celebrate this knowledge and greet each new day by joyously accepting the infinite potential it holds. This is the path toward amazing new experiences, and the key to unlocking rewards you never could have imagined with the thinking mind.
