The Mysterious Differences Between Good and Evil
-
Every person has their own set of morals. These morals help them to distinguish between good and evil. There is even a standard set of morals that has been adopted for legal purposes. The common belief is that people who defy the moral standards of society should be punished.
The problem that comes in here, though, is that each person has different morals. What may be good to one person could be evil to another and visa versa. That is why their is so much controversy.
Controversy stems from the fight between defining what is good and what is evil. You may even experience conflict within your oneself in the process of figuring out what is good and what is evil.
The Moral Dilemma
Each of us will face a point in our life when our morals are tested. In some situations it becomes a case of choosing the lesser of two evils. These tests of your morals can leave you feeling upset and make you question yourself and your beliefs.
Benefits of Morals
Understanding your own morals and being able to clearly define them is important. Knowing the difference between good and evil is a driving force of life. It can keep you on the right side of the law and make others see you as a good person. Having strong morals also makes you more confident in yourself and able to make better decisions.
Crossing the Line
There may come times when you feel justified in betraying your moral beliefs. You may think that the evil in front of you is merely minor and not as much an evil as just something a little bad. In these cases it is common to tell yourself that nobody will know and you will never have to reveal that you betrayed the moral standard.
When you start to let your morals slip it is usually only a matter of time before you find yourself betraying them more often. You need to find the balance between good and evil and stay on the side you have chosen. You are responsible, nobody else, for your actions. In order to really believe in yourself and to love yourself, you have to be at peace with your own definitions of good and evil.
The next time you are faced with a moral dilemma or even a simple choice in a situation, think about your morals and how they play into the situation. Think about whether you are ready to betray your morals or if you are strong enough in your beliefs to stand by them

All those who work with legal issues have legal minds. There is no place for morals in this quadrant, I wonder how that will be dating an Attorney chick.;=)

Good question. Also, who put the tree of knowledge in the garden and who created and allowed the serpent to tempt Eve? Seems to me god is responsible for the whole mess. Christians will never use logic and admit it. Oh well, Adam and Eve never existed anyway.
