Contentment
-
The content on this blog is intended to be thought-provoking and illuminating. As a philosopher and spiritual traveler I enjoy sharing insights with others and helping people explore new perspectives.
But the truth is all spiritual and personal development pursuits can be reduced to one simple ideal: Relax and be content with whatever you’re doing in this moment.
If you can’t just be happy right now, you never will be. That’s not an excuse to give up, it’s just a call to understand that you absolutely have the keys to happiness in this very moment.
Concepts like success, progress, and growth are enjoyable parts of the life experience. But they are also illusion.
Sit back where you are right now and feel into all the great things in your life. Allow the essential quality of goodness and bliss to flow over and through you.
Simply being alive is wonderful. You don’t need to add any new knowledge, additional experience, or increased material gain to be absolutely happy.
Some people will read this and scoff at the lack of complexity. Many people pay lip service to the allowance of pure happiness, but fewer individuals actually let themselves embrace it.
Consider this: You are hardwired to be content and at peace. Relax your thinking, let your body shift into a state of ease, and just enjoy the next few moments as an unfiltered experience of the life force.
These words from the ancient philosopher Chuang Tzu may help:
?Flow with whatever may happen and allow your mind to be free. Stay centered by accepting what you are doing; this is the ultimate.?
